Emotions

Whys this important?

This page is under works.
I can still explain why this is important in simple text.
In this story/world, emotions are important to one character. The main one. His main thing is souls and the emotions he can see from them. He sees colors in the pupils of people, aka the windows to the soul. These colors can be easily understood once you know how its determined.

It could be as simple as 'red meaning anger' but I decided it should be a bit broader. A shade could mean what you guessed but the color as a whole is a broad category. You could also envision this system as a sphere. The top and bottom being a gradient of White to Black. The middle stripe is a gradient of bright and saturated colors.

At the top half of the sphere, there are muted and dull colors. In the bottom, dark and strong colors. Both ends are an absense of color so they're pretty similar in meaning. White meaning empty because theres no intensity, Black meaning Numb because it's like a shadow where they still feel something but its very hidden. Additionally, Brown is a mix of every color and means being overwhelmed.
Below I'll add the whole list cause idk what else to add.

White =Empty
Black = Numb
Red = Intensity
Blue = Depth
Yellow = Vibrance
Green = Conflict
Purple = Turmoil
Orange = Impulse
Yellow Green = Unease
Blue Green = Tension
Blue Purple = Sorrow
Red Purple = Desperation
Red Orange = Aggression
Yellow Orange = Elation
Brown = Overload

The main character can see these through gasses and fog and can guess/infer what they're planning and know where they are. Though If they're wearing contacts, it's kinda difficult or non-visible.
